I closed my eyes
And saw the light
I saw the clear blue skies
I heard the flutter
Of a butterfly’s wings
I couldn't help but sigh
I felt the warmth
Of the sun above
Shining down on me
I opened my arms
Embracing life
My heart filled with glee
The cold breeze
The colourful bloom
Heaven it seemed to be
Alas I woke
All too soon
I guess it wasn't meant to be...
